Trend of renewable raw materials forces market towards further scaling up

In the latest Boom in Business edition, our General Manager Ted Vollebregt talks about developments in the market and the recent merger of Lensli Substrates, MeeGaa Substrates and Free Peat.

Ted says: 'In the past, we could make any desired substrate with a few bunkers filled with raw materials. Now we are dealing with a multitude of basic raw materials and that is still increasing. Ensuring the quality and availability of these new and renewable raw materials requires substantial investments in the field of R&D, processing locations and storage capacity. In that process, scale is a must.'
