Rijnbeek en Zoon in Boskoop is a third-generation family business that grows perennials in the open ground and in pots. The plants are sold in 25 countries worldwide. Rijnbeek distinguishes itself with a very wide range consisting of about 5000 species. This involves collaboration with a large number of parties, such as breeders and enthusiasts from all over the world. Rijnbeek has set up a testing ground for new species.

Strawberry and cucumber grower De Peelkroon from Limburg, led by Rob van Enckevort, is responsible for the production of several strawberry and cucumber crops. The complete cultivation consists of 5,3 Ha of strawberries under glass and 2,2 Ha of cucumbers. The company has a total of 3 branches, all of which are located in the province of Limburg.

From our own tests we have seen that we have a more vital and stronger crop on Greenline Food. We have been growing on this organic substrate for 2 full years now and the disposal is done in a responsible manner.”

Vegetable grower ACB Agro BV from Drenthe is run by Antoni de Bruin, who is responsible for both cultivation and personnel. The company, which has a total size of 6 hectares, consists of two locations in Klazienaveen and grows both bell peppers and cucumbers. In total there are 10 permanent employees and 10 seasonal employees.

Kwekerij M. van den Oever from Son en Breugel is a tree nursery and container cultivation company of 16 hectares with a wide range of more than three hundred types of shrubs, which are grown in pot sizes C4, C12, C20 and C35. M. van den Oever has been getting substrate from Lensli for about ten years now.

As a company, John van Oosterwijck BV wants to put a high-quality and strong product on the market, with which it can serve its customers as well as possible. With regard to the substrate, the most important requirements are that the potting soil can both retain and drain the water in a timely manner. In addition, the substrate must prevent moss growth. In consultation with Lensli, they continue to develop and perfect their substrate.

Tree nursery Kortenhorst from Heeten in Overijssel was founded in 1980 and now has 2,5 hectares of greenhouse. Kortenhorst Boomkwekerij specializes in the cultivation of dwarf rhododendrons and has been a regular customer of Lensli Substrates for over 25 years.

Rijnbeek Excellent Plant works with its own substrate consisting of rice husks for the Clematis Armandii and wood fiber for the Acer Palmatum and Cedrus Atlantica Glauca.“Since 2017, we have been working with Lensli in a very pleasant way. On their advice we have made a change in our substrate, which means that we need to fertilize less.”

We have stopped using peat entirely and can now supply our customers with 100% peat-free products for the first time.”

Opschroef started transitioning to peat-free potting soil some years ago. “We noticed a growing market demand for sustainable plants, so we set up a trial using various, peat-free substrates. After the trial, we chose Lensli's potting soil, as it had the best structure and was easy to work with".
