Change in our Horticlei

Partly due to a production adjustment at the supplier of our Hortiklei, we started looking for a good alternative and replaced our existing Hortiklei with a successor. Perhaps the most striking thing is the color, because it is now terracotta instead of gray. This color change does not affect the operation in any way. Despite the different color, the new variant has virtually the same properties and operation as its predecessor.

The new variant offers two advantages compared to the previous version, namely:

1. A slightly higher CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity)
   The CEC is a representation of the degree of fertility of the substrate.
2. No pH increasing effect
   Which is particularly practical for peat-free substrates

In summary, the new Hortiklei does not require any adjustments for our customers during cultivation. Naturally, we adjust the changed pH effect in our models.
