What is RHP?

RHP is a non-profit foundation that has been the European knowledge centre for growing media since 1963. RHP is recognised as the world ’s strictest quality label for raw materials and substrates. The RHP label monitors the quality of growing media throughout the supply chain. From extracting the raw materials to processing and delivery to the end user.

The RHP quality label is important as it gives breeders and growers the greatest certainty that the substrates and topping soil with the label can be applied safely, with no risks for the plants.

Lensli Substrates has complied with the RHP quality standards applicable in the market since 1999. We have held RHP certification for our complete product portfolio ranging from the substrates and topping soils to the bark and rice husks for some time.

The RHP quality label ensures:

  • Safe substrate; RHP monitors product safety throughout the entire supply chain.
  • Clean substrate; RHP intensively inspects the substrate to ensure it is free of harmful organisms and diseases.
  • Guaranteed quality; RHP certified substrates must comply with strict requirements, including storage conditions, for example.
  • Low-weed substrate; RHP certified substrates are low in weeds.
  • Proven quality; RHP performs extensive research which means that RHP-certified substrates demonstrably comply with various quality requirements.

Lensli products display the RHP quality label:
All our substrates and topping soils have the RHP quality label. We believe in the importance of this label because we always want to supply our customers with the best possible quality. We continually work on developing, producing and supplying products of the highest quality.
